James holds the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and Certified Kingdom Advisor (CKA) designations. His educational background is in business administration. Throughout James’ 30 years of experience as a Financial Advisor, he has gained extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of investment management, insurance planning, intergenerational wealth transfer, and retirement planning. His time is primarily spent developing, presenting, and reviewing financial plans with clients.
James enjoys public speaking, networking, and is active in his community. He served as President of the Rotary Club of Harrisburg in the 2020 - 2021 Rotary year and currently serves as a board member as well as a board member of the Harrisburg Rotary Foundation. He is a member of the West Shore Chamber of Commerce and serves on the planning committee for the New Cumberland Apple Festival. He serves as worship leader at The Glenvale Church of God. In his free time, James enjoys performing and recording bluegrass music, traveling with his wife, Karen, and reading books.

michael.good@wealthdevelopmentcouncil.comMichael Good supervises Portfolio Operations and Technology Administration at Wealth Development Council, LLC. He oversees our trading desk and provides Information and Technology support for our firm.
When he's at work, Michael takes pride in ensuring execution of our client's financial plans through their investment accounts. Michael’s depth of knowledge in application development is a valuable asset at WDC. He is primarily responsible for development of the Wealth Development Council Advanced Research Platform, a premier portfolio management tool proprietary to WDC which embodies the more than 30 years of collective experience represented by WDC advisors and staff. Michael is Series 66 licensed, has passed the Level I CFA Exam, and is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
When Michael is not at work, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing volleyball, and beating James Good at chess. He is also involved with the praise and worship ministry at his church, and is a husband and a father.
Jonathan Good serves as a Paraplanner and as an Insurance Advisor at Wealth Development Council, LLC. His primary responsibilities include researching and developing key elements of client financial and insurance plans.
Jonathan excels in organizing complex planning details into simple, understandable action plans. His expertise in understanding tax documents and building Excel spreadsheets are invaluable assets to our clients, and his ability to quickly understand and excel with a diverse set of tasks make him a key member of the Wealth Development Council team. Jonathan is Series 65 licensed, and is licensed in Accident and Health, Life and Fixed Annuities insurance in the state of Pennsylvania. He is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Financial Planning.
When not at the Wealth Development Council, Jonathan enjoys reading, bike riding, and exploring culinary expressions. He also plays bass guitar with James and Karen, performing together in churches, senior centers and festivals.
Karen Good is our Client Relationship Coordinator and Executive Assistant. She is responsible for Client Hospitality, new business follow up, service, and assisting with schedule coordination. Karen is a Temple University Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Her combined work experiences at a County Agency on Aging, Central Pennsylvania Retirement Community Human Resources Department, Home School Teacher, and Coordinator of Elementary Classes for a Central Pennsylvania Home School Co-op, give her a unique blend of ability to relate to people and also appreciate unique organizational requirements in our business.
Karen’s experience with people, cheerful personality and smile, and organizational skills make her a natural for her work at Wealth Development Council.
Karen enjoys reading books, knitting & crocheting, cooking, photography, and music. When she is not working at the Wealth Development Council, you might find her playing music with her husband James, creating wonderful meals in the kitchen, or resting with their cat Oreo. Karen is a member of Rotary Club of Harrisburg. She has helped in planting flowers in the Peace Garden along Front Street in Harrisburg, and traveled internationally on Clean Water projects to Haiti.
