 James D. Good, CLU®, CFP®, ChFC®

James started Wealth Development Council in 2004 with a vision to help families and institutions grow and protect wealth. James holds the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designations. His educational background is in business administration. Throughout James’ 18+ years experience as a Financial Advisor, he has gained extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of investment management, insurance planning, intergenerational wealth transfer, and retirement planning. His time is primarily spent developing, presenting, and reviewing financial plans with clients.

James enjoys public speaking and networking.  He is currently a member of The Rotary Club of Harrisburg and The Keystone Business Exchange. He assists as a worship leader at The Glenvale Church of God. In his free time, James enjoys performing and recording bluegrass music, playing volleyball with his sons, traveling with his wife, Karen, and reading books.

 

Cara A. White

Cara is James’ personal assistant and Client Relationship Coordinator. She has extensive experience in project fulfillment and business development. She addresses client needs such as transfers, retirement distributions, beneficiary updates, and follows up all aspects of account maintenance.   She takes a lead role in planning client events and works closely with our business partners. 
 
Cara is a proud military spouse of 19 years. She has served as a volunteer at the Fisher House Foundation, Brooke Army Medical Center, and actively seeks opportunities to be involved in volunteer service related to Veterans and our Armed Forces.
 

Michael J. Good

Michael is a student at Harrisburg Area Community College where he is beginning studies in Math and Computer Science. At Wealth Development Council, Michael is responsible for website maintenance and development, assisting with updating client financial plans, and assisting with marketing projects and paperwork.   In his free time, Michael enjoys computer programming and playing music.
